Things are heating up on the education reform front. Mark Zuckerberg decided to give $100M to Newark’s public schools. Seems like a well calculated publicity plan with the release of Waiting for Superman on Friday. In any case, I love it! Zuckerberg will make the gift on the Oprah Winfrey show on Friday along with Mayor Cory Booker. Imagine getting that phone call? I couldn’t think of a more deserving city. The students of Newark need something to overcome the challenges in that city.
