Two years ago I was somehow introduced to Jerri Chou and Michael Karnjanaprakorn from All Day Buffet. They approached us to be the charity beneficiary of an event called the Good Wood. It was a skateboard art show to benefit Stoked. Since then we’ve kept in touch. Jerri and Michael are a dynamic duo who are the curators of social innovation events and culture in NYC. Not only are they creative, they’re beasts. I’m motivated just knowing them. Whenever, you talk with them, they always have a project going on and are constantly looking for new ideas and people to make the world a better place. The first time I went an All Day Buffet event, I felt instantly at home. Being a social entrepreneur, non profit guy, you want to feel like you’re part of a community of people who aren’t afraid to think big and dream big. Last year I went to their conference called the Feast. Simply put, this conference, changed how I was working with Stoked. It shifted my mind set and allowed us to think of making a bigger social impact through collaboration. As a result of collaboration and changing our model, Stoked’s impact grew over 200%. If you want a creative kick in your butt and get inspired you should check out the feast.
