Tony Hawk was the Stoked Achievement Award winner at our 2008 Stoked Awards. We honored him for his achievements on and off the skateboard, what he’s done for the sport of skateboarding and underprivileged youth with his foundation. I was just reading one of my favorite magazines, Fast Company and they had an interview with Tony Hawk about his new book. His new book apparently talks about the business side of his life. I’m so fascinated with the idea of combining your career and your passion to achieve success and I think Tony is the epitome of that. This is one of the reasons why I started Stoked and why Sal is involved. Quite honestly, I’d rather Stoked youth become Tony Hawk Inc, than Tony Hawk the skateboarder.
