Mentor Activity Saturday, Nov. 20: Ice Skating at The Pond at Bryant Park
This Saturday is Family Day at The Pond at Bryant Park, an ice skating rink that holds 500 people. For this occasion admission is free, though you either have to rent or BYO skates, from 12noon-6pm. Click here for more information, and here for a map of the area.
Mentor Activity: Saturday Nov. 20, Volunteer at the Bronx Food Pantry
This weekend, as Thanksgiving is right around the corner, take a couple of hours and volunteer! The Bronx Food Pantry is looking for volunteers to help pack and distribute Thanksgiving food baskets. As a thank you for your hard work, all volunteers will then get to enjoy a complimentary pre-Thanksgiving lunch. Donations of goods are accepted and encouraged! The event is located at Immaculate Conception Church, at 754 East Gun Hill Rd in the Bronx, NY, 10467, very near the Gun Hill Rd subway stop on the 2 and 5 trains.
