Stoked Pairs are ready to hit the mountain
Snow Mentor 2011 is here!
This year’s snow mentor season is shaping up to be a great one. However, we could always use more Mentors to be matched with a youth and Volunteers to teach snowboarding to our pairs.
New York Snow Mentor Dates:
January 8th – Kick Off
January 22nd and 29th – Snow Mentor 1 and 2
February 5th, 12th, 26th – Snow Mentor 3, 4, and 5
March 5th and 12th – Snow Mentor 6 and 7
Los Angeles Snow Mentor Dates:
January 9th – Kick Off
January 23rd - Snow Mentor 1
February 6th, 13th, 27th – Snow Mentor 2, 3, and 4
March 6th and 27th – Snow Mentor 5 and 6
Interested in Being a Mentor?
Commitment: Mentors commit to being matched 1 on 1 with a youth for a minimum of one year, spend 4 hours a month with their mentee, and attend 4 program days per season. See Stoked calendar for program dates. Mentors do not have to know how to do the sports! Stoked will also provide all of the necessary equipment.
Process: Fill out a Mentor Application, plan to attend a mentor orientation on December 21st, at 6:30 pm (NY only)
Interested in Being a Snow Mentor Volunteer?
Commitment: Volunteers are people who are very good at Snowboarding and feel comfortable teaching pairs how to snowboard. You commit to at least 2 program days per season, see Stoked Calendar for program dates.
Process: Fill out a Volunteer Application, plan on attending a Volunteer Orientation on January 5th, at 6:30 pm (NY)
