New York: Fancy Ice Skating at the W Hotel
The W New York Hotel, one of the Financial District’s newer and trendier hotels, has a little-known secret: rooftop ice skating! Located on the 5th floor outdoor terrace, this ice skating spot is free for anyone who brings their own skates, and has $12 rentals for those who do not. Have you even wondered how those memorable movie posters came to be? What goes into making an effective poster? What makes certain ones last? Learn all all about them at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Grand Lobby Gallery, located in Beverly Hills. The work of Bob Peak, the mastermind graphic designer behind many of these notable posters, is being featured in this 4th floor exhibit. Admission is free! Check out the website here.
