For the fourth consecutive year, Stoked Sessions will feature work by some of today’s best street and fine artists. The artists selected for this event have been asked to create original work, depicting the impact that action sports has had on his or her life journey. Stoked is proud to present Lauren Perkins as host of the 2011 Annual Stoked Sessions Art Show and Benefit in Los Angeles on May 20th.
A Huntington Beach, California native, a Professional Skateboarder, a Stunt woman, a model, an aunt, an X Games podium attendee and a barrier breaker are all ways to describe Lauren Perkins. She first started skating after a skatepark was built by her house. “It looked fun!” She recalls, getting a skateboard for her birthday was only the beginning. A couple falls and contest wins later, she is now sponsored by Etnies, Oakley, Nixon, World Industries, Kicker Systems, Skullcandy and has successfully managed to become widely known as one of the best female skateboarders ever. Stoked is honored to have Lauren Perkins host the 2011 Stoked Sessions Art Show and Benefit in Los Angeles on May 20th.
