Summer Surf Mentor Program: LA and NYC

Interested in teaching LA or NYC youth how to surf this summer with Stoked!? Find out how you can help change the lives of youth through surfing!

Stoked, in partnership with other youth development organizations in LA and NYC, will once again teach under-served youth how to surf this summer through Surf Mentor. In addition to teaching youth to surf, Stoked reinforces positive values and lessons by integrating life skills into the curriculum. Stoked believes that learning to surf is an ideal platform for promoting personal development because the boundary-breaking qualities of surfing can be applied to future obstacles that the Stokers will face in their lives.

Stoked is looking for mentors and volunteers to join us this summer on the beach in LA & NYC. We welcome interested adults to get involved with our 2011 Summer Surf Mentor Program by attending the below pre-surf orientation sessions!

In NYC, on Wednesday, June 29th, hosted by Saturdays Surf NYC, there will be a Volunteer meet-up. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to newyork@stoked.org

In LA, on July 7th at 7PM, we will be throwing our annual LA Volunteer Meet-up with the help of our friend, Andrew Keegan.
