Mentoring Activity: Hell’s Kitchen Youth Basketball Competition- Saturday, July 9th at 11:00 a.m.
The West 45th Street Block Association is organizing a new competition for basketball players between the ages of 10 and 20. Neighborhood youths can show off their skills at the free throw tournament as well as the 3 on 3 refereed basketball tournament. Basketball players will compete in three age groups: 10-12, 13-15 and 16-20 year olds.
Located at May Matthews Playground, young people can sign up to participate in the events by registering here.

Mentoring Activity: RCTA Sunset Concert Series; BlueGrass- Saturday, July 9th at 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Calling all blankets, picnic baskets, and candles! The Riverside Clay Tennis Association is once again hosting its series of sunset concerts on the tennis lawn overlooking the Hudson River at 97th Street. The Series, sponsored by the Nautica New York City Triathlon and the omega-3 sports supplement Recoup90, celebrates our fabulous park and represents the rich cultural diversity of the Upper West Side.
On Saturday, July 9th from 7PM to 9PM come to Riverside Park and enjoy this week’s performer: Dartmouth Boys Bluegrass & Honky Tonk. Plus a watermelon eating contest. The perfect summer Saturday night!
