Start 2011 off STOKED

Happy New Year!! Stoked has big plans for 2011 and we hope YOU are a part of them! We have a few ideas to help you set those new years resolutions in motion:

1) Join Team Stoked: The most common New Years Resolution is to shed some post-holiday pounds. Stoked has a way to help you get motivated and to stay in shape: join Team Stoked. In March 2011, Team Stoked will be running in the New York City Half Marathon and the LA Honda Marathon. We still have spots remaining for both events! To register for Team Stoked, please go to our Team Stoked website to download the form!

2) Become a Mentor! Stoked is looking for enthusiastic young professionals in Los Angeles and New York to become mentors. In 2010, Stoked double the number of youth served through our programs. In 2011, we are looking to do it again: with the goal to work with 1,000 youth by 2012. We are confident we can reach this goal, but need your help! Stoked NY is hosting mentoring orientation sessions every Tuesday night at 6:30pm in January (11, 18, 25). If you are interested in mentoring please RSVP to with the day you would like to attend. If you are interested in becoming a mentor for Stoked LA please email

3) Volunteer! Looking for some good karma this year? Volunteer for Stoked. We are looking for program volunteers, event volunteers, and outreach volunteers. Stoked NY will be hosting sessions for program volunteers TONIGHT (January 5th) @ 7pm. Please email if you are interested in volunteering for Stoked NY or Stoked LA email us at!

4) Have fun! Stoked NY is hosting the Stoked Rail Jam on Saturday, January 22nd at Belleayre Mountain. The purchase of a $75 ticket you will get  you transportation from NYC, snacks, lift tickets, and raffle tickets. The event will include the Stoked Snow Barn Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, a Raffle, amatuer snowboard competition, and a full day of snowboarding! If you are interested in joining us please email
