How do you become a volunteer?
You must fill out an online application, interview with a Stoked staff member and pass a background check if you intend to work with our youth.
What is the difference between a mentor and a volunteer?
A volunteer is NOT a mentor. Volunteers assist with programs, events and/or administration. A mentor has a direct relationship with one of our youth.
What do volunteers do?
Volunteers can help out in many ways. They can volunteer on one of our committees. (Events, Programs, Development and Marketing) They can volunteer as an instructor in snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing. They can supervise on trips, lead a workshop on any subject beneficial to teens, speak and motivate our teens, and volunteer at one of our fundraisers.
Do you have to be a certain age?
There are no age requirements to become a volunteer.
