End of Year Celebrations

Words: Constance Beverley This year, STOKED provided 470 hours of opportunity to our youth! Many of these hours were spent after school building and designing skateboards and skate brands. Last week, in New York and Los Angeles our year 2 youth had the opportunity to present their brands.

In Los Angeles, our year 2 youth presented their brand - Septic Society - at Vans HQ and celebrated their accomplishments at Bead Relief in Downtown LA! In New York, 6 Brands: (1) SOL, (2) Cotto, (3) Bird’s Eye View, (4) I Dare You, (5) Blackout and (6) Unixvolve presented their brands at the National Black Theater in Harlem, to a panel of amazing judges: (1) Tim Nolan (Huge, Inc.), (2) Selby Drummond (Vogue), (3) Hillary Miller (Motive), and (4) Michael Chatsworth (Google).
