STOKED SINCE 2005: STOKED’S 10th ANNIVERSARY DINNER
Recently, STOKED held a Donor Appreciation Dinner, to commemorate STOKED’s 10th Anniversary. Held in Manhattan at Milk Studios, so many wonderful mentors, students and donors alike came to celebrate 10 years of excellent service.
The event began with a short mix-and-mingle, with Christopher Sealey running the music as the guests entered the room. The room was filled with bursts of conversation and laughter as people began to meet and reconnect with one another.
Later all the guests sat down to eat: and there was a very diverse array of menu items to chose from: including Watermelon Balls, Fried Eggplant Rolls, Charred Cabbage with Whipped Labne, and Moroccan Spiced Chicken. For dessert STOKED's Shake Shack Custard was served during the event as well!
Halfway through the dinner, STOKED Steve gave a speech commemorating the various donors for all of their hard work and dedication – and a scholarship was awarded to 3 STOKED students. Afterwards there was a benefit auction to help support STOKED, and various gifts were given to all who attended.
This event and turnout truly displayed the impact that STOKED has had over the past 10 years. As we continue to grow and develop, it is evident via the magnitude of support from our community, that we will continue to help kids in our community grow and see success.
